I am a wife and a mother of two small kids. I work in the publishing industry, specializing in children’s books, which is fitting since I am a lifelong bookworm. I live for coffee, Anthropologie, mid century furniture, Craigslist finds, trying out new recipes, quiet weekends, live music, local brews or a good glass of wine. I love travel, especially kid-free getaways with my husband. I’m a lifelong California native and currently make my home in San Diego.
I blog because I love the creative outlet, and depending on my work schedule I post anywhere from three to five times a week. Favorite post topics include music, food and cocktails, what my family is reading, and a peek into our home/life balance.
As a working mom, I know “doing it all” isn’t possible, but I hope I can share a little bit of how I focus on what I can do, and what is most important to me. I’m not striving for perfection, I’m just trying to raise happy children and maintain my own sanity and sense of humor!
I also occasionally write for the children’s book blog Random Acts of Reading.
