I’m still feeling the Valentine’s Day love hangover this morning, so I wanted to share a little bit about something I’ve fallen in love with this week, the blog love.life.eat.
Written by a published author with a love for food and photography, it’s the perfect mix of gorgeous images and simple, compelling words. I’m always drawn to blog authors that share their life experiences truthfully and look at the world with curiosity and passion and Felicia does that in such an engaging way. Her recipes make my mouth water and her words are just stunning. Check out a few lines from a recent favorite post on simplifying her life:
If this be a home, let it be filled with things baking. Hot loaves in ovens and the windows flung open to let the wind in. Let there be stacks of books, floor to ceiling, so they tower and tumble and sometimes fall to the floor. But that’s okay. It always is. At the end of the day all I need is a good book and a sugary bun. Life suddenly becomes that simple.
I’m starting to realize that I’m happiest owning less and sharing, experiencing more.
I found her through a tweet from another absolute favorite, Karey Mackin, and quickly read through dozens of posts. In a blogging landscape where so much of what I read is all about buying and selling and branding and sponsorship, this blog is refreshing in its basic drive to connect readers through food and fellowship.
What are you reading and loving these days? Any blogs I should check out?
Hope you all have a wonderful long weekend. J and I have a mini trip to Los Angeles planned to catch up with old friends and to get the ball rolling on my week of birthday celebrations. I’m excited to finally check out a few hip downtown LA spots like Bottega Louie, Poketo, Clare Vivier, and of course, The Last Bookstore!

Erin,
My goodness! I was nearly in tears reading your most beautiful post. Thank you so much for your kind words, warm heart and readership. I can’t wait to delve deeper into YOUR space.
With love, Felicia
Thanks, Felicia. I think you’re doing an amazing job and just wanted to share! xo
Hey Erin. Thanks for the recommendation, I’m always on the lookout for thoughtful reads and you seem to know them all! Have a great time in LA, birthdays should definitely last all week long! Look forward to celebrating next week. xx
Such great beautiful images. A blogger after my own heart. What is better than a good book and a chocolate croissant…eaten while sitting in the morning sun with the windows wide open. Have a great weekend in LA. Let me know the damage after Clare Vivier
Is it foolish to think I will just browse? I am still saving my bday money for a new lens
Thank you for sharing a new blog to pour over. Happy weekend.
